Ronald Miles

Ronald Miles is a son of Baltimore. Whenever he speaks, he spills lore of the charm city without event trying. From the city Arabbers, to Old Towne Mall, to the Afro Newspaper, his recollection of Baltimore is unmatched.

What sparked his passion for the city lies in a brick building hidden behind Dunbar high school. The Chick Webb Youth Center, changed the life of Ronald Miles, by giving him constructive activities to not only take his mind off of his own poverty but to embolden him to gain skills to take on the world. And he took on the world.

Miles went on to graduate from Morgan State, raise a prosperous family and work in housing and community development. In this collection we explore Miles' passion from the Chick Webb Youth Center, his memories of a once burgeoning city, his perspective on Baltimore housing and real estate, views on how young people and gang culture has evolved over time in Baltimore.
